Make Me Stay is a new series in the Entangled Publishing’s Brazen genre, so far it seems to be a winning series in my opinion. Samantha is a woman out to make her father’s dream come alive by developing in the Gold Mountain to make it the most profitable ski resort the country, her only problem is one man. Austin is not about to sell his land to the Kane Enterprises no matter how many zeros and promise they offer. Austin is happy for his life and town to say just the way it is and doesn’t need some development coming in and messing up things. What Austin doesn’t know is Sam is Samantha Kane and she is the one looking to buy his land. He is attracted to the woman he met one the mountain and that attraction turns to one night of passion. But then he finally finds out her real identity and things get interesting. I really enjoyed Rebecca’s writing style and I can’t wait for more from this series. I would give this novel 4.5 stars.

I have loved every one of the Rebecca Brooks novels that I have read, and Make Me Stay was just as fun, satisfying, and sexy as I had hoped - come for the steamy bits; stay for the excellent writing, thoughtful characters, and appealing stories. I can't wait to read about more of the Men of Gold Mountain!
Nice story. Guess you could say it was predictable but I didn't feel to need to skip parts or read ahead. Would definitely read again.
This is the first time that I have read a work by this author. I really didn't know much about her style of writing. As it happens, I enjoyed the story line, the basic premise, but there was too much explicit sex for my taste. This simply wasn't my cup of tea, although it may be for others.

Rebecca Brooks takes us to a mountain resort in the Pacific Northwest where hot ski instructor Austin meets (unbeknownst to him) the seductive real estate developer Sam Kane. If you're looking for a sizzling hot outdoor romance to keep you warm this fall, this book is a must-read!
Rebecca Brooks' novels are up there with Victoria Dahl's IMHO. This is the third book of hers I've read and I love how she manages to capture a sense of place while developing rich and complex characters I care about. Don't get me wrong -- the sex is important and this book does it right! -- but the dynamic between Sam and Austin (a bit of a role reversal of the billionaire boyfriend genre) gets at what I'm looking for from contemporary romance. Realness, rawness and good writing. Having traveled in the Pacific Northwest, she gets the location spot on (To those who question the way Sam and Austin meet have you ever talked to a ski instructor on a crowded ski slope? They meet hundreds of people a week!). The circle of friends whose stories will be told in the rest of the series seem super interesting. I already sense something brewing between Mack and Connor! Five stars all the way! Now I'm going back to re-read the snowmobile scene!
Excellent! Make Me Stay is a perfect mix of eloquent writing, smart plot and romantic tension. I read this book in one night. I loved the strong heroine, Samantha fighting to protect a business she had helped build. The plot moved in a direction I had not expected and I was immediately intrigued. Great chemistry between the hero and heroine. The contrast between the city girl and mountain man felt genuine and the secondary characters were well developed adding another layer to the stories richness. Lovely ending! I put this one on my nightstand shelf to read again!
I like snow. I like athletes. I like strong female characters. Add all those likes together and you get, "I loved this book!" I read it in one sitting today after having downloaded it this morning. I always look forward to the new release from Rebecca Brooks, and this book did not disappoint. If you liked Sarah Morgan's O'Neil brothers series or Jill Shalvis' Wilder's series, I think you should definitely give this book a try.
