Liberty Sommers is furious that Jace is home and due to inherit the ranch after putting his father through the hell of worrying about him daily for the last eight years. He checked on his Daddy and the housekeeper and felt like a fool for over-reacting. When it happened again, he realized the source was coming from the tiny attic space in his bedroom, and he suspected that the Sommers girl everyone had been warning him about was up to mischief. He waited for Liberty to strike again, and when she did, he promised himself she was going to get the tanning of her life!
Jace wasn’t prepared to learn that Liberty was a lovely young woman instead of a little girl, but her hotheaded temper earned her a good spanking, and Jace didn’t care that she was grown. He felt that a spanking was exactly was the redhead needed and was going to get!

I love a Laurell Joseph story! This tells the story of Jace and Liberty. Liberty is feisty and very untraditional woman. Jace decides to take her in hand and gives her a lot of spankings. We also learn about Jace’s friend Wade and his wife Cece. Cece and Liberty are not friends, but they eventually learn to get along. I enjoyed this story because it is not your typical western where the girl must be tamed and become a little lamb. Cece and Liberty might be tamed, but they are never going to be a little lamb! I enjoyed this. It was a good well-written sweet romance. This story was mostly about Jace and Libby but also included Jace's friend Wade and his wife Cece (Libby's enemy) and Jace's family. Sparks fly between everyone making it a fun read. Jace and Libby both go through a learning curve on how to be a good partner for the other. It is sweet, cute and funny and has happy endings for everyone.
We can always be sure that a book written by Laurel Joseph will be well written with a decent plot and likeable characters. This story does not disappoint. This is the story of Liberty and Jace. Liberty is of course the raven haired firecracker and Jace the alpha, hunky cowboy. Liberty is unconventional and Jace is happy to have her that way, while trying to spank some common sense into her. This is an enjoyable Western romance that has good depth. Well worth reading.
Filled with romance action and suspense The plot is well written and keeps you turning the pages The heroine is feisty and sweet and keeps everyone on their toes She will have you laughing cheering her on and sometimes wondering if you read that right did she really just do that The Hero has his hands full He knows just what she needs and sometimes it is a trip over his knee This is a must read
One of Laurel's better stories as of late. She writes a more detailed story, letting you really get to know the characters. I loved Liberty - she was independent, smart, and determined. Jace had his ups and downs - I thought he was too eager to punish at times and he made several mistakes with Liberty in that regard, but I liked that he owned up to his mistakes. And I absolutely LOVED that he didn't try to change Liberty! Finally, we are given a male character that doesn't mind his woman wearing pants, truly appreciates her talents, and doesn't make her give up her furniture building because it isn't "ladylike". Wonderful change of pace for a historical western!
The story line of this book was good,and if there was more spice,and love scenes I would have rated it higher but was a let down on that end. It also lacked in the detail department.
Libby is a tomboy and Jace has the privilege of taming her. If you like spanking stories, I recommend this one.
This is a great book! Laurel Joseph knows how to write a sweet western romance and this is a perfect example. Jace and Liberty make quite the pair although it takes them a little bit to figure that out but the ride is so much fun! Loved it!
